My phone minus TikTok

Everybody has heard of TikTok at this point. The new Vine of the Internet. The new popularity-based system. The new clout race app. The new oh lemme try to dance in order to potentially randomly blow up and stop pursuing that boring corporate job that I’m learning in school.

I find myself using this app more often than I’d like to and you probably are too.

I’m waiting in line at the grocery store… TikTok!

I’m going to the bathroom… TikTok!

I’m studying… TikTok!

Why am I so addicted to this app?

Well, it is really easy… the answer is…

This is a little compilation of quotes that I use to kinda recenter my thoughts when required.

Where are you going?

There was once a young girl wandering the uncharted land.

She was small, naive, and had her faith in her hand.

“Oh, is that three doors that I see?”

“Which one should I choose” she wondered naturally.

Not knowing which path to cross, she settled down before them.

Time started to pass and she started to feel condemned.

Before the young girl, a weak light started forming.

The young girl noticed and started whispering.

“Would you please tell me which way I ought to go from here?”

“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to my…

Introduction to circuits

There are so many resistors in this circuit?! How in heaven’s name am I supposed to understand something?!

Well, there is something called “equivalent resistance”. You obtain it by combining resistors together. Pretty straight forward!

There are 2 formulas necessary to solve our little problem:

Talking about my recent jump on a paperless school journey!

University just started and, this semester, I decided to do something differently.

I decided to say goodbye to handwritten notes.

My experience

I have been using my digital setup for one week now.

Honestly, I was hesitant about doing the jump. It is only after seeing one of my friends doing it that I have decided to switch.

That and a video that I saw on YouTube about a med student that documents how he takes notes this way.

I have been adapting quite rapidly and I have used this method in a couple of classes as of now.

I feel like…

In this article, I am going to give you some advice to help you obliterate your online classes.

The fall semester of 2020 is about to start. The pandemic of COVID-19 is still ongoing and we don’t really know for how long it is going to last…

What does that mean for schools?

Well, most universities have adopted online classes.

Online classes are not going to be easy for everyone, especially those who have a lot of difficulties organizing.

In this article, I am going to give some advice to help you crush your online classes.

4 — Do your routine as if you are going to school in person

The first thing that I’d recommend is that you do…

I quickly summarize them and I talk about the lessons I’ve learned.

Around February this year, I decided to start reading for fun again. Since then, as of August, I have read about 20 books.

Most of them influenced me in good ways. Albeit, some of them left a big mark on me and completely changed my view on certain things.

A Man’s Search for Meaning

— Viktor E. Frankl

Mr. Frankl is a psychiatrist as well as a holocaust survivor. He survived multiple concentration camps.

What is so interesting about this book is the fact that he talks about the experiences in a concentration camp but from a psychological perspective.

He talks about how people who…

In this article, I am talking about how the Federal Tax System of the United States works.

I wish I would have learned the following in school. I feel like financial education is really important but, for some reason, the educational system doesn’t seem to be on the same wavelength. They want us to learn that mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell instead.

Here are the different federal tax rates in the United States.

Recently, I read the book called A man’s search for meaning written by Viktor E. Frankl. It is recommended all over the internet and, now, I understand why.

What is very interesting about this book is the fact that Mr. Frankl is an Auschwitz concentration camp survivor as well as a psychiatrist. Hence, he is one of the very few people in the world who can understand what happened in the minds of the concentration camp survivors.

The book is divided into two parts. In the first one, he talks about his experiences in a concentration camp. In the second…

Have you ever wondered how your GPS actually works? Yes? No? Well, it doesn't matter! I am going to explain in a vulgarized way how it works.

Disclaimer: I do not know for a fact which algorithm Google uses. It could be Dijkstra, it could be A*, it could be a lot of things. I think that it can’t plainly be one of those due to the ever-growing complexity of the problem. Tough, I am confident that the base of the algorithm is similar.

Google Maps might be using an algorithm called Dijkstra’s shortest path. It was designed by a…
